Hi Everyone!
I know it has been a couple of months since my last post but I am happy to say that my golf game is getting better and showing improvement! I had a hard time writing in April and May because I was struggling with my game. I wasn't scoring well and I was losing some confidence. During my Midwest tournaments I started to see my game take a turn for the better. In May I started to work with Greg Liberto, from My Mental Game Coach. My thought process and thinking out on the golf course has improved greatly! I saw that my ball striking was the best it has been since I've been on the Symetra Tour but even with my mental game improving I was still struggling to capitalize on good scoring opportunities. After my tournament in South Bend, IN I had an open day before heading up to Harris, MI in the U.P. I went to work with a putting coach, Travis Becker at Cherokee CC in Madison, WI. I was amazed to see the results that weekend at The Island Resort Championship. I didn't miss any putts inside 6 feet that weekend. My good ball striking and putting continued into Stanwood, MI at the Tullymore Classic where I shot 71-72-69. I feel that with the combination of working with my swing coach Dave Rasmussen, new putting coach Travis Becker, and new mental game coach Greg Liberto that my golf game can take the next step forward with having strong finishes in golf tournaments! My confidence is growing and each tournament is another chance do even better.
I'm currently in Albany, NY for my next Symetra tournament. I was in Rochester, NY last week for the new Toyota Danielle Downey Classic. I had previously made my last 3 cuts and missed that cut by one shot. My ball striking wasn't the best but my short game had saved me during most of my rounds. Even though I missed the cut I had a weekend that most would dream of. My host family for the week belongs to Oak Hill and I was able to play there twice :) It is definitely a favorite course of mine and I enjoyed every minute of playing there! To every bad there is a good and I'm lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people when I travel.
Next week the Symetra Tour is coming to Milwaukee!! I'm so excited to play a tournament in my home state and so close to home. If you are around July 31, August 1 & 2 you should come check out some great golf at Brown Deer Park Golf Course for the PHC Classic!
Hope to see you there!
