I was home for a week in between AZ and my drive to FL. The drive went well and it surprisingly went quickly too! I had a good week at home of working on my swing with my swing coach. I was also able to go to Wilson's headquarters to get fit for new FG Tour Control wedges and try out their new M3 Driver. I have really enjoyed practicing my short game while being down here. One of my goals this season is to practice short game everyday, especially my putting. So far I have kept up with both! I have been noticing a difference when I play which is rewarding to see improvement. It also helps to keep me motivated too!
This past weekend I was able to have such an amazing experience by playing in the Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic. I was asked to join team Jockey and was thrilled with the opportunity to play in such an event! I didn't know what to expect but all I know is that my weekend was better than I would have imagined it to be. Friday night started with the Celebrity Gala Dinner. During dinner, there were children who spoke about what the Tim Tebow Foundation (TTF) has done for them and it was touching to hear their stories. John Rich from Big & Rich Sang, an artist painted a picture of Tim Tebow in a matter of minutes on a blank canvas with no picture next to it to go by, Rob Schneider spoke as well. Tim Tebow spoke of how thankful he was for everyone attending tonight and tomorrow and what his foundation means to him. The live auction had some really cool items. The one item I would have wanted was two tickets to every major and it included tickets to the Players Championship. I met some some pretty famous celebrities and I thought it was wonderful to see them supporting such a great foundation. Overall, It was a wonderful night! I definitely learned a lot about the TTF and I never knew there were so many different parts to the foundation to help children and families.
