This past week has been the most perfect weather for golf! It has been in the 80s everyday and I love it. I was able to play a couple different courses and have now found one of my new favorite places to play. I played at Wigwam, McDowell Mountain, and Silverleaf. Silverleaf is my new favorite course! It is in perfect condition and I think it could possibly be the nicest course I have ever played. The views at Silverleaf are amazing and so beautiful. The course is in the mountains and overlooks the city. The homes are equally as beautiful out there. I used to not be a huge desert golf fan but I'm starting to like it more and more. The best part of desert golf is seeing the beautiful sunsets after an afternoon round of golf. I'll be posting pictures after my AZ trip is done and you'll be able to see some of the beautiful views! I might be liking this trip a little more too knowing that I'm out of the snow and cold :)
It's been awesome to get some rounds in before my tournament next week. I feel that my practice days have been going well and I can see my golfI'm really excited for the 2014 season to start! I still feel like it was yesterday that I was starting out my first full season on the Symetra Tour. You can follow my tournament through live scoring if you click on the link to the Symetra Tour website on the side of my blog. Looking forward to my first tournament of the season :)
I've been staying with a friend from tour this week and it's been a lot of fun! We already have a big match for Chipotle planned out for one of our practice rounds this week. Nothing like playing for a good burrito bowl! Being able to stay with friends makes traveling on the road for long periods of time a lot easier. Yesterday, the 15th was my birthday and I had a fun time celebrating with friends on Tour and with some friends that live out here who are originally from home. I had a great birthday dinner with great friends and enjoyed being out of the snow for it! I did miss not having birthday treats made by my mom but I know once I'm home some will be made!
